Late afternoon nibbles : Foodlovers and Doppio Zero

One lazy Friday afternoon bestie and I decided to go for lunch. We went into town and by the time we found parking most restaurants was closed for lunch preparing their dinner.  We ended up having half price sushi at Foodlovers market at the newspaper house and then walked over to Doppio Zero for mains.

Foodlovers- the sushi was freshly made and had interesting flavours.  Not the best sushi out there but at that price whose complaining. We shared about 5 plates and our bill came to less than R100.

Service cannot really rate as we pick up the plates on the conveyor belt.

Doppio Zero, the decor is nice and cozy, dim lights give that relaxed ambience.
We shared the lamb, rosemary, feta and tzaziki sauce pizza. I had some cosmos and Rox had wine. They have a good selection in wine and cocktails, and they cocktails are nice and strong. The pizza was ok. Honestly we were expecting amazing but were deeply disappointed.  There way too much cheese and hardly any tzaziki or rosemary.

Service was really good and waitor was very friendly.  Even though the lunch became a tad emotional the drinks made it better and the afternoon was quite enjoyable.
