Starting point: Peperneros

So the main reason why I decided to start this blog was purely for the love of food and enjoying great company. I had the epiphany when enjoying an early dinner with Rox and Leens at peperneros. I suggested we should start a blog; where we would go to different places, somewhere new and discover amazing food.

A year later or two, and finally posting.

So here is to discovering 50 tastes of food in Cape Town and where ever the wind blows us.

So seeing that it all began at Peperneros, I decided this will be a great starting point.

Pepereros is situated in Moulle Point opposite the light house. Guests can enjoy some pretty scenic views of the sea. There is an inside section which looks more sophisticated and outside section that is more chilled and cosy. Blankets are at hand when that sea breeze hits you.

So lets get to the food.

The prawn special is amazing, The special is really worth its money with a whole lotta prawns that are succulent and based in a nice lemon butter sauce served with chips or rice. We all agree that this is our favourite on the menu.

The steak is rather small, but can still hit that spot. Served with chips and you can add a sauce to give a little kick.

Mussels which are not currently available were amazing in a orgasmic creamy garlic sauce.

The cocktails specials are a tad weak but hey for 25 rand who can complain.

Disappointing factor: they offer half price sushi however on more than one occasion when wanting to order sushi they claim to be out of sushi rice. A real bummer.

**prices and specials may have changed since print

Heres a look at the food;
